Started striper fishing on Nov 1, we had a bit of action, saw encouraging signs, bass rolling on the surface (but were babies)  used eels in the morning dropping many more bass than boated, pool fish was caught by Richard and weighed in at 28 lbs. Joey G. also had a nice keeper. At dock next 2 days due to weather, but Sunday was awesome. We had been searching and by mid morning we saw a couple of giant bass break the surface and continued looking in the area and then it happened, the best fishing we have seen in several seasons, with giant bass all over the place. We were using jigs and swim shads and got the fish on every drift, having as many as 12 bass on at a time. By the time the melee stopped, most anglers had caught a keeper and we had boated more than a dozen bass over 30lbs and 2 bass over 40lbs.  It was all hands on deck including Capt. Kevin and by the day's end Jake and Jeremy had their workout running all over the deck. Awesome fishing, great day for all. Weather kept us at the dock Mon, out with a light group on Tuesday as weather did not look so bad, but  deteriorated as the day went on. Did a lot of fuel burning searching for the bass to "pop up" but not happening, so switched from swim shads to eels and fished pieces of bottom that usually produce some fish. Picked some quality bass up to 30 lbs on each drift, with some anglers going home with nice fish. On Thursday, the Harbor was bustling with striper anglers hoping for a repeat of Sunday's fishing, and though we put in a 150% of effort, it was not happening! We had a bit of action on shorts with a couple of slot fish mixed in, but not a good day by any stretch of the imagination. Entire Atlantic Highlands fleet spent Friday and Saturday at the dock due to weather conditions. Winds are forecasted to diminish by tonight so both Sunday and Monday look good. The temperature is going to be chilly, so dress warmly. Jake, Jeremy and I will be at the dock bright and early in the morning, so grab your gear and join us for our fishing adventure.
