Sailed today with a "light crowd" found bass in the Bay and stuck with them. Considerable action, mostly slot fish and 1 regular keeper, every angler went home with fish. Tomorrow's forecast calls for 40 mph gusts, so we will take the day off, Saturday is "iffy, so check back tomorrow to see if it is a go. As of now, Sunday is a definite GO.
Don't follow the crowd, be adventurous and take a chance on going your own way, you will be pleasantly surprised.

WEDNESDAY, 11/11 REPORT
FREEDOM IS NOT FREE !!! THANK YOU TO ALL OUR VETS AND THEIR FAMILIES!!!
Conditions were pretty cranky today, yet the hearty souls persevered and those who fished hard were rewarded. Fish were up in the morning, by the time we got there, it was a wasteland, picked away at fish here and there and ended the day with a decent catch of stripers. Fish were smaller, so a lot of bonus tags were used today and a ton of shorts went back. Had several bass 30-31', and Ralph took the pool.
Weather forecasts are not good for the next couple of days.
SUNDAY 11/8 UPDATE
Today was our first day on the water since Tuesday, took a few days off to go on an Adventure of my Lifetime!!!
As a birthday gift, my youngest daughter took me and Didi to Reykjavik, Iceland, with the hopes of seeing the Northern Lights, with her family. Most of you know what a proud "grandpa" I am and have been since the day my 1st grandchildren (the twins) were born, so no matter what, it was going to be a great trip. As a family, (3 generations) we climbed behind and over the top of waterfalls, watched geysers erupt, soaked in natural hot springs in freezing temperatures while raining. We witnessed enormous waves on a black sand beach with the wind blowing so hard we could barely stand and the rain so heavy that we could not see and yet took in the grandeur of the moment. We went off roading crossing rivers to a glacier, which was a thrilling experience in itself. Our private guide, Bjorn, for 2 days made all these remarkable adventures possible and memorable, and the "icing on the cake", he is an actual authentic VIKING! From him, we learned so much about Iceland, present and past, and could not get enough of his Viking history lessons. Our Viking guide is also a fishing guide in Iceland so we had a lot to talk about. After 2 days, 10 hours a day, I made a new friend. How cool is it to have a Viking for a friend!!
Okay, enough about me. I did not get any stripers today, plenty of blues, some as big as 19 lbs, supplied the day's action. We were jigging the fish and there is a bit of a knack to it, so if you were having a hard time of it, keep practicing, you will get it. We had a great group of anglers aboard today, unfortunately I did not put the bass on the deck, but I look forward to a better day tomorrow, so come join me and Jeremy.

FORGIVE ME, but I am still on my Iceland Adventure Natural High, consumed by my remarkable experiences and our exceptional Viking guide!!!!
Todays fishing was spot on as soon as the lines went into the water, plenty of keeper bass on right away. By day's end had a good catch of keepers, and used 6-8 bonus tags. No blues today, is it a good thing or a bad thing, it depends on your preferences. Jeremy and I will be there in the morning, hope you join us.
